TMZ obtained a message on Monday, in which director Justin Baldoni complimented actress Blake Lively after she sent him photos trying on costumes for the character Lily Bloom in early 2023.
"Hey Blake, I hope the dress rehearsal went really well," Baldoni is heard saying.
“Thank you for sending me the photos, it was really nice to see them.”
He further adds that he was in a meeting when the photos were sent to him and that, as soon as he saw them, he became very excited.
"You look very beautiful. It will go very well," he continued.
Blake Lively has also revealed that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, had encouraged her to talk openly with Justin Baldoni about her concerns, because their relationship at the time was good.
According to Blake Lively, she was reaching out to the actor "more as a friend than for any other reason" as she prepared to return to work after the birth of her son in February 2023.
She wanted the director to show understanding towards her needs.
Although everything seemed to start well, rumors of a rift between them began after the film's release in August 2024. So they went to court, where they are expected to face each other on May 18.
