If you too face "elbows" in life, react like Fatma Haxhialiu

In a question and answer section on Instagram, moderator Fatma Haxhialiu was asked by a follower:

"Have you faced 'elbows' in your career, perhaps even now, when you've established a foundation?"

Fatma's response was so honest and zen that it can serve as a manual for anyone faced with toxic people and situations:

"I've faced it," Fatma wrote.

"Some I dramatized in vain, some I thought were 'elbows', but no one took me seriously at all. Some were painful and I took my time to heal, others came my way and I ignored them. But what I've learned over time is that up there, someone is giving you messages. When you don't know how to read them, they give you some good lessons to wake up to and get away from people and places that don't value you and don't deserve you!"

The moderator added that when you look at the "big picture" in life, you understand why some things didn't get done and why some people had to get out of your way.

"Now I'm at the stage where I know who I am, what I have and what I want. I no longer see them as obstacles, but as ways of survival, reactions to the traumas these people have experienced, their insecurities, etc. This is human nature," she continued.

Fatma said she no longer has any grudges against anyone:

"It's enough for my smoke to go straight and that's it. I no longer have the nerves and energy for drama and petty idiocy. Did you say a bad word? Okay, I'm healed. Did you try to ruin my work? He is above who will answer for me."

She closes with a piece of advice that sounds like a little life lesson:

"There is no recipe to get here. It comes with age and stages. You have to go through everything to be ZEN and then not be proud of anyone or anything. You need something like that in life, otherwise why would we be babbling?" she concluded with humor.
