The Grevin Museum in Paris yesterday removed the wax statue of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The move came in protest of his attack on Ukraine. In addition, his statue was intentionally damaged by visitors who came to the museum over the weekend.
The statue, created in 2000 was moved to one of the warehouses until a second decision. Meanwhile, the museum is considering replacing its wax statue with that of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Today we can not introduce a character like him. For the first time in the history of the museum we are removing a statue because of the political events that are currently happening in the world. Given what happened (damage to the statue by visitors) s' "Do you intend to fix his hair and appearance every day?" said the director of the museum in Paris.
Museum representatives said it was not yet clear under what circumstances he could return the wax statue again.
