The "pomodoro" technique is a successful method that is concerned with increasing the level of productivity to accomplish a certain task. It was first developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 80s and then, it was also applied to business schools in Rome. The name originates from "pomodoro" (in Italian "tomato"), as the first clock that Cirillo used was located in the kitchen and had the shape of a tomato.

This theory consists of setting fixed schedules for doing homework and learning subjects, but also to take breaks in between, which encourage creativity.

What do you need to apply?

A pencil, paper and an alarm clock.

The steps are:

Choose a task/subject you will complete/learn.

Set the alarm for 25 minutes.

Work on the task/subject until the alarm goes off.

Take a short break, 5-10 minutes.

Work again for 25 minutes.

After 3-4 repetitions, take a longer break, about 20-30 minutes.

Thus, you will be able to rest and recharge your mind. Productivity and energy will increase, results will be satisfactory and you will be happy.
