Earlier this year, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus - who have five children, including Miley Cyrus - announced they were separating after almost 30 years of marriage. In fact, this is the third time the duo has split and the news has gone public. They first filed for divorce in 2010 and got back together months later. Three years later, Billy Ray showed up again, but the two would reconcile less than two weeks later.
The media say that the divorce between the parents has strained Miley's relationship with her father, mainly because of his new relationship.
Billy Ray Cyrus is getting engaged to Australian singer Firerose, whose real name is unknown. Although there is no fixed age of hers online, Fierose is thought to be in her 20s, slightly younger than Miley, who is 29.
Fierose admitted that she and the 61-year-old musician met 10 years ago, on the set of "Hannah Montana."
"He just really believed in me and told me to follow my dreams no matter what. The music industry isn't easy, but he's been a really, really incredible support."
That said, according to people on TikTok and Twitter (and some simple math), Billy Ray knew Fierore when she was still a child.
Maybe that's why Miley no longer follows her father on Instagram and dropped the last name "Ray" on Twitter.
In addition to Miley, Tish and Billy Ray - who married in 1993 - are also parents to Braison, 28, and Noah, 22. Tish also has two children, Brandi, 34, and Trace, 33, from a relationship previous. Billy Ray is also father to son Christopher, 30.
