The much-talked-about wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez has arrived and the famous stars have landed in Venice.
Since Thursday evening, paparazzi have been snapping famous names in the historic Italian city. The Kardashian-Jenners were among the first to arrive in droves, with Kim, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie and Kris arriving via water taxi.
Model Vittoria Ceretti and Leonardo DiCaprio were also seen a little later. Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey was photographed leaving the airport with her close friend Gayle King, who participated earlier this year in the exclusive all-female space flight organized by Lauren Sánchez herself.
Even Orlando Bloom, who recently split from Katy Perry, was seen looking particularly relaxed and smiling among the wedding guests.
The wedding has been in the headlines for weeks. While tabloids have focused on the VIP guest list, other media outlets have also reported on protests in Venice by those who believe the event is exacerbating the city's problem of tourist overcrowding.
However, the wedding organizers, along with the mayor of Venice, have denied the allegations.
"We are working closely with the organizers to ensure that the event will be fully respectful of the delicacy and uniqueness of the city," Mayor Luigi Brugnaro said, according to the Associated Press.
