The film tells the story of a woman who moved to America 20 years ago, together with her husband. They have a daughter named Joy, who wants her mother to accept her girlfriend, Becky, who is not of Chinese descent.
Soon, the woman becomes involved in a situation where technology helps people move from one universe to another. The multiverse is facing a very great danger and the woman must save it.
Evelyn collaborates with technology to defeat enemies and save humanity and more.
The story may seem very sci-fi and Marvel to you, but let us tell you that it is filled with super comical situations and dark humor that reflects the life of immigrants in America.
The philosophy of the film is to tell the story of women and mothers who go unnoticed in supermarkets. "They have never had a voice. They have never been superheroines," said Michelle Yeoh, who also plays the role of Evelyn.
