Avdullah Hoti, the Prime Minister of Kosovo has introduced new restrictive measures.
The new restrictions come as a result of the steady increase in coronavirus cases and will take effect on Friday.
Municipalities are divided into three groups.
"The highest risk is in municipalities that exceed 150 infected within a week."
There are currently 7 such municipalities and in these areas the development of economic activity will be allowed until 19:00.
“From 19:00, all economic activities are closed and restrictions are placed on the movement of citizens in these municipalities. Entry-exit from these municipalities is prohibited from 19:00 to 05:00 ", continued the Prime Minister.
After these hours, the activity closes and there will be curfews.
In low risk municipalities, the allowed time zone is from 05:00 to 20:00.
Second risk group: There is a closure of shopping malls, gastronomy and other businesses at 18:00, but during this time movement is allowed.
Prime Minister Hoti said that medical teams will return to the border, while teaching in higher education will take place online.
"The necessary reorganizations have been made inside the hospital, increasing the beds to over 800. Today there are 626 patients who have been hospitalized. Based on the number of infected, NIPHK has issued statistics categorizing municipalities into three groups, in green which is the area "Low risk, the second category are municipalities where the number of cases ranges from 76 to 150. Municipalities in red when cases pass within a week 150 new cases", said Hoti.
