Friday's hearing in Diddy's trial was more noisy outside than inside. The reason? Kanye West made a surprise and brief entrance into the courtroom, grabbing everyone's attention.
He greeted Diddy's son, Christian, and left after about 10 minutes. The court had opened a special room just for him, but Kanye didn't see fit to stay long.
It's not known exactly why Kanye West entered Diddy's courtroom. He wasn't called as a witness, wasn't legally involved in the case, and his presence was brief.
Some media outlets speculate that it was simply a gesture of support for Diddy or his son, Christian, whom Kanye greeted before entering. Others see it as a publicity stunt – in typical Kanye style – to generate attention.
Meanwhile, inside the courtroom, the key witness was Diddy's former assistant, Jonathan Perez, who spoke about the so-called "king nights" — the term Diddy's staff used for the infamous "freak-offs." He said he would prepare the rooms with honey, lube, and baby oil and, yes, fall while cleaning them because everything was so slippery. Two other former assistants are expected to testify on Monday.
