Rapper Kanye West's chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, has sent a public letter demanding that the rapper be referred to by the name Ye and not by the name slavery.
"Ye is one of the most famous people in the world, even in line with the Pope and the president. He did not make the decision to change his name and discard all profits from the 'Kanye West' brand for nothing. The change was made complete, it is legal and permanent. He is already Ye", said the spokesperson, addressing the media, the public, music platforms, stores, websites, etc.
The letter urges that the necessary changes be made to any platform that references West.
"There were many cases when he was addressed by his name as a slave. Ye is a person of color who wants to be recognized in America like anyone else," the letter continued.
We recall that Kanye's name was legally changed in 2021, after a request made to the court.
