It's official: Filming has begun in Spain for Johnny Depp's new film, "Day Drinker," directed by Marc Webb and starring Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz.

What is known is that he plays the role of a "mysterious" guest on a private yacht who meets a grieving bartender (Madelyn Cline) and a criminal (Penélope Cruz).

The film marks his first major return to American cinema since his 2022 trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Since then, the actor has focused on European projects, such as the French film "Jeanne du Barry" and his directorial debut "Modì."
However, the offer made to him by Webb must have been tempting, as the director has collaborated on three other films with Depp and Cruz: "Blow", "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "Murder on the Orient Express".
