Jennifer Lopez, a no-brainer, finds it impossible to walk the streets away from the paparazzi's wandering eye. But ironically, if the latter can photograph it anywhere, anytime, for J.Lo it is different. Finally, she is alleged to have been charged with copyright infringement and is being sued for $ 150,000.
What is it about?
Two years ago, Lopez posted a photo while walking with partner Alex Rodriguez. Now, he was sued in court for publishing it without the photographer's approval.
In court documents filed by E !, Splash News, a Los Angeles-based news and photography agency, seeks $ 150,000 from J.Lo.
"Photography is creative and special," argues the company, which places emphasis on Lopez's reputation as well as the visual quality of photography.
"But unauthorized use damages the existing and future market for original photography," the document states. "The post on Instagram made it available to tens and millions of Lopez followers," it added, citing the fact that the photo was used by many media outlets.
Jennifer Lopez has not responded to the situation.
