In case you missed the biggest event of the week for Apple, the company unveiled new iPhones: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max with improved screen, faster processors, longer battery life and new cameras. The latter seem to be really terrifying, at least for people susceptible to triphobia.
Tripophobia is the fear of small, bumpy surfaces, such as beeswax or vice versa, with small, frequent bumps. People suffering from triphobia can suffer anxiety, fear, sweating, itching, vomiting, and severe emotional distress when confronted with similar images.
The triple camera - designed to enhance colors and light - is causing people to feel disgusted and fearful of the lack of feedback on Twitter, though Apple has not yet responded.

Tripophobia has been little studied. The first psychologists to look for it concluded that the most dangerous animals on earth such as alligators, crocodiles, snakes, and poisonous fish have holes and bumps on the skin. As a result, people developed a phobia of these forms to stay out of danger. Another researcher thinks that such surfaces remind people of infectious diseases or parasites. The emotions of disgust affect you to avoid these.
It's one of the less discussed phobias. People are reluctant to say that they suffer from triphobia because they do not understand anyone, it seems abstract and meaningless. Fearing the holes is not something we hear everyday and naturally cannot be easily perceived.
