Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, the protagonist of "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup", has become a mother for the first time. Her first child is a girl named Aurora Raina Urker. She was born on the morning of December 28, one year after Blanchard was released from prison.
Her arrival marks a new chapter for Blanchard and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, who confirmed the news on Instagram.
"We're welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all," Urker, 31, wrote alongside a photo of Blanchard holding Aurora at the hospital.
The couple discovered that Aurora's name reflects their passion for the Northern Lights.
"We both have an admiration for the Northern Lights. Aurora is the name we both chose," said Blanchard.

Blanchard, who recently published her memoir "My Time to Stand," said she wants to give her daughter the life she couldn't have for herself.
"I want to give my daughter a happiness that I didn't know growing up."
Blanchard, 33, who spent nearly eight years in prison for complicity in the 2015 murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard, was reinstated on parole in December 2023.
While behind bars, she married Ryan Scott Anderson in 2022. They separated after her release and she reunited with Urker, her ex-fiancé.
