The trial of Sean 'Diddy' Combs, the singer accused of sex trafficking, abuse and rape, has just begun. On the first day of the trial, sex worker Daniel Phillip testified, describing harrowing details of his encounter with the rapper.
According to him, Diddy's ex-partner, Casandra/Cassie Ventura, paid him to have sex with her while Combs stood in the corner of the room, watching and masturbating. He also testified that he saw Diddy being violent towards Cassie.
The details of his testimony were apparently unbearable for Diddy's daughters, 19-year-old Chance Combs and 18-year-old twins, D'Lila and Jessie Combs, who stormed out of the courtroom twice in quick succession.
Prosecutors also showed the court a 2016 security camera video showing P.Diddy brutally raping Cassie. In the video, he is seen knocking her down and kicking her. However, during the screening of this clip, the defendant's daughters, as well as their mother, Janice Combs, were present.
This episode highlights the consequences that a crime can have not only on its victims, but also on the family of the suspected perpetrator.
According to evidence in the possession of prosecutors, the rapper threatened, abused and forced various women and men to "satisfy his sexual desires."
His lawyer responded to the accusations by describing him as "an innocent man who has nothing to hide," while considering the entire judicial saga unfair.
On the other hand, his ex-partner, Cassie, was the person who filed the first lawsuit against him, in November 2023, accusing him of sexual and physical abuse. Specifically, she claimed that for more than ten years she had been raped and repeatedly beaten by P.Diddy.
