It appears that North West is joining the family business. In three filings dated Jan. 14, obtained by PEOPLE, her mother, Kim Kardashian, has applied to trademark the company name “NOR11,” indicating that the action is being taken in her daughter’s name.

The applications include a variety of products: dresses, shoes, pajamas, hats, watches, jewelry, bags and cosmetic cases. North seems to be following in the footsteps of her father, Kanye West. In January, she posted a snippet of a new song in collaboration with him on Instagram. The song, titled “Piercing on My Hand (Ye Version),” was interpreted as a reaction to the public outrage over the two piercings on her hand.
"Piercing in one hand, money in the other. No friends, just filters; you just won't understand."
In other verses, she talks about missing school, new rings, and wanting more piercings and tattoos. When North West shared her piercings on Instagram, the reactions were overwhelming. Many fans said she was too young for such a procedure, which can be painful and carries a high risk of infection. She and Kim also faced criticism for North's style, which many commentators said was inappropriate for her age.

Since then, she has shown off other piercings, some of which have even been fake, through TikTok videos. In an interview with Interview Magazine, she said that her main inspiration for the style is her father.
