She said that in the evening when she received the phone call, her world collapsed:
"We grew within 24 hours. On the morning of my 25th anniversary, I got a phone call I never wanted to receive. After that morning my world collapsed, I just returned to Tirana overnight", she said tearfully.

"I realized that I would not hug him again even though when he left for Italy he promised me that he would come back. 48 years old passed away. Many things remained hostage to me, but deep down, he knew me very well, it was enough to look me in the eyes and he understood what I had in those moments".
Ilda Goni, Ana's mother and Inis and Ingrid Gjon's older sister, passed away due to a serious illness. It was Ana herself who made the news public, saying:
"You stole my soul, mom! I want it to be a bad dream. I don't know if I could say enough that I love you. God took you on the holiest day for you to be our angel. 'We' forever".
Ingrid Gjoni also spoke about the loss of her sister, in a post on Instagram:
"Ilda Gjoni was nothing but our wonderful sister, she was an exemplary daughter, the most devoted mother of Ana, Viki and Rodeo, the happy wife of Mikeni, the friend that anyone would love, the friend who had her heart open to everyone . It was the smiling face, for acquaintances and strangers", adding: "She was the most fantastic aunt, who became Paridi's second mother. I will never be able to write even 1% of what Ilda deserved. I believe very much that God will reward her with Heaven for all the joy she brought to us on Earth. Angels and heaven are her home today and I pray for her peace. Ilda, sister I love you always and I promise to take care of you forever your eyes."
