In the next episode of "The Dalina Show" , the next guest was Vesa Luma and this time, for the first time, she decided to speak openly about the rumors that circulated a few months ago about a crisis in her marriage with Big Basta. She confirmed that there was some truth to that news and spoke about the personal challenges that, in one way or another, are reflected in every relationship.
"I had a very difficult childhood, from the absence of the main figure that is the father, the war, I had to go to work immediately because I had to help my mother who was very young. Being very attached to my mother and sisters and being afraid that a family comes that at some point everything can fall apart, this has given me the strength not to say the last word first. Both Geri [Big Basta] and I have moments when we are not well, we have our clashes, but the last word has never been said."
One of the points that contributed to these tensions was Big Basta's participation in the reality show "Ferma VIP", a step that Vesa initially viewed with concern.
"In the case of Ferma, there is something true because I really never thought at any moment that Geri would be in such an environment, knowing his very calm nature. And such formats have never been for such natures, in my opinion. I was afraid of the way people would perceive it or I would say 'you stayed for 5-6 weeks and then you left? What was the point?' I was also afraid that he would face another despair that could lead to a hasty decision."
Despite initial doubts, her support for her husband was unwavering:
"Even though we have similar professions, we have never made decisions for each other, we just support each other, and the moment I said 'I support you', I said 'I will support you 100%', when I agreed."
Regarding the rumors that followed, she indicates that the lack of a public reaction was a conscious choice:
"And I believe that I may have escaped a word from someone, this was the reason why I really had a hard time accepting Geri's entry into the reality show . This was perhaps the reason, perhaps people, word by word and it came to where it came. Then, people also like these things a little bit, the moment a news item comes out 'Vesa broke up with her husband', they start and continue in a row and don't stop and whatever you say after that, it's simply useless."
Instead of reacting, Vesa chose to let Geri speak with his values:
"People often ask me why I didn't react then. Geri and I have always been together. And it was a very good moment for Geri to show all the values he had and if I had reacted at that moment, people would still be dealing with Vesa and Big Basta."
And I really wanted the public to really understand what kind of person, artist and human being Gary is, and that's why I didn't react because I wanted people to see that. That was then misunderstood.
"I can say with complete conviction, we have had disagreements, but we have never broken up. I am very lucky to have Geri in my life because he is a great support. We cherish family life, we don't play with that thing."
