Joycelyn Savage, R. Kelly's fiancé, responds strongly to her family, denying claims that she is a victim or sex slave, despite the concerns they have expressed.
In a video released Sunday evening, Joycelyn opposes her family's statements, which said she does not support the apology from R. Kelly, as he has never taken responsibility for his actions and according to them, she is still under his influence.
Joycelyn says she and R. Kelly have been together for 10 years, engaged for three, and plan to get married and start a family.
She urges that no one believe the "lies" her family is spreading, clearly stating:
"I'm not being held against my will. I'm not a sex slave. I'm not sedated or any of those crazy lies that are being told about me."
Joycelyn also asks that followers continue to pray for R. Kelly while he is still in prison and expresses her hope that he will be released soon by federal authorities.

Joycelyn's family says through their lawyer that they have not had direct contact with him for years, and this is due to broken family relationships, without any motive.
R. Kelly was found guilty of organized crime and sexual trafficking in 2021 and next year for porn with children and attracting juveniles for sex. Last week, he claimed he had a plot to kill him, which he sent to hospital.
