The concept of wild sex is not new, but it is getting more and more attention from the movies we watch or the music we listen to. This phrase is definitely part of the pop culture lexicon.
But what exactly do we mean when we say we like, dislike or want to try "wild / rough sex"?

In a new study, recently published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy, researchers began to explore how people conceive of wild sex, focusing in particular on comparisons between genders, sexual orientations, and political-ideological backgrounds.
The study included 4,898 participants (2043 women, 1858 men, 10 transgender women, 16 transgender men, 46 individuals who do not identify with one gender). The vast majority of participants were heterosexual.
Participants were asked: “People have different ideas about what they think wild sex means. What does it mean for you?
These behaviors included: pulling hair, biting, tying, slapping, throwing someone in bed, tearing clothes, and so on.
So what do we mean by "wild sex"?
Some of the most approved behaviors that were considered wild sex by all participants were choking, pulling hair, and slapping; each was mentioned by at least two-thirds of each subgroup.
