Even if you don't have feelings anymore, checking your ex on social media often becomes an addiction and it's hard to stop.

The next time you feel the urge to check your ex's social media, consider trying these first:

1. Wait 5 minutes. The first moment you think of looking for his Instagram name, stop for a moment and try to wait 5 minutes (taking your phone out of your hands or looking at something else on your phone). Gradually increase the time, until you are completely out of your mind.

2. Consider the following questions:

- How did you feel the last time you saw their profile?

3. Find a substitute activity and make a plan ahead of time.
