What happened? Meghan Markle's awkward moment with flowers

Meghan Markle was filmed in a somewhat awkward moment while in the company of Prince Harry, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton.

They were outside Windsor Castle, where hundreds of people had gathered to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II. In a video captured by an attendee, Meghan was seen holding a bouquet of flowers. A royal palace aide approached him to take it away. Meghan refused, saying she would place them herself before walking back through the crowd with the bouquet in her arms.

Moments later, another aide approached and took flowers from Harry and Meghan, who again refused, but "gave in" after the aide explained the situation to her.

Flowers must be removed from royals for safety reasons – an explosive device, gas, poisonous insect or many other things.

In the comments, some people pointed out that Meghan's action shows her desire to be the center of attention. According to them, the duchess decided to keep the flowers (which were for the queen) because she wanted to be photographed with them. While some others say that maybe he just didn't know that they could be a security risk.
