Blue Ivy Carter, the eight-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, has been nominated for a Grammy Award.
In November, the Registration Academy announced the 2021 Grammy nominees.
Beyoncé's "Brown Skin Girl", released as part of "The Lion King: The Gift", has been nominated for Best Music Video.
Blue is listed as an artist featured in the song, along with Beyonce, singer WizKid and SAINt JHN. In addition to participating in the video clip, the voice of the 8-year-old is the one who opens and closes the song.
This is Carter's first Grammy nomination, and makes it one of the youngest nominations in Grammy history.
Blue Ivy turns 9 years old before next year’s Grammy Awards show.
According to Billboard, the newest Grammy nominee is Leah Peasall, who was nominated for Album of the Year in 2001 for her performance in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and won the award. Even DeLeon Richards has received an individual nomination at the age of eight.

"Brown Skin Girl" is a dedication to women of color and the video features characters such as Naomi CampBell, Lupia Nyong'o and Kelly Rowland.
The Grammy Awards will be held on January 31, 2021.
