Ashley Tisdale has decided to speak out. The actress has publicly attacked her former "toxic" group of celebrity moms, which included Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore, in an op-ed published in The Cut.
The former Disney Channel star admits that she often felt "not cool enough" after being excluded from group meetings and activities. According to her, their relationship was filled with typical "mean girl" behavior, similar to the boring high school friendships.

Tisdale recalls a difficult emotional moment when she found herself alone one evening after putting her daughter to bed, wondering what she was doing "wrong" to feel left out of the group.
The actress revealed that at one point she decided to write to the group:
"This is too much like high school for me and I don't want to be a part of this anymore."
She decided to end the relationship, as the friendship with them was no longer healthy for her.
Ashley Tisdale, who is a mother of two daughters, has previously spoken about this distancing, which had often made her feel bad.
She said that there were message groups where not everyone was included, and she often learned that her "friends" had been there through the photos they posted on Instagram, while she had not been invited.

Although she hasn't mentioned the names directly on any occasion, Tisdale no longer follows Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore on Instagram, while continuing to follow Meghan Trainor.
This group has often been in the spotlight over the years. Hilary Duff has previously spoken in superlatives about the close bond between them, saying that what unites them is their love for children, beyond fame and career.
