British supermodel Naomi Campbell and fashion icon Anna Wintour had a little "bump" moment that was captured by people in a video that is doing the rounds on TikTok. Naomi was honored with the "Fashion Icon Award" at the fashion event "Harlem's Fashion Row Fashion Show & Style Awards" in New York.
The award was supposed to be presented to the supermodel by Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of "Vogue", but due to a delay by Naomi, the fashion icon gave only a short speech and decided to present the award to the editor-in-chief of the magazine " Harper's Bazaar”.
"I'm presenting this award tonight to someone who is often late," says Anna Wintour in a video shared on the X Network (formerly Twitter).
After presenting the award to Samira Nasr, Wintour left the event early to attend the US Open ceremony. For her part, Campbell, after receiving the award, decided to respond to Wintour's remarks about the delay and lack of correctness.
"Everything works the way it's supposed to. It wasn't my choice to have that other lady here," Campbell said, referring to Anna Wintour.
Naomi Campbell threw a shade on Anna Wintour ? Naomi was late and Anna didn't wait for her. Anna gave the award to Samira to present it to Naomi. Naomi didn't want Anna to present her an award anyways ? #nyfw #naomicampbell #annawintour pic.twitter.com/hwFOLA4sXT

Despite the criticism, the legendary editor-in-chief of "Vogue" did not deny her appreciation for the supermodel during an interview with "USA Today".
"Naomi is honestly one of the most courageous people I know, a quality that was evident early in her career when she began speaking out about inequality and injustice against women of color," she said.
Even the supermodel, for her part, did not spare praise for Wintour, talking about the support she has given her during her career as a model over the years.
"Thank you Anna Wintour for supporting my career since 1987. You chose to meet a young black girl from London at the Vogue offices and give me a chance to be on the cover of the magazine. This had a huge impact on my work and career as a model,” concludes Campbell.
