If your goal is to lose weight, of course you give up many foods and change your diet almost completely. Give up pastries, sweets and other whole products. But nutritionist Tammy Lakatos Shames says these nine foods are ideal to enjoy even if you're on a mission to lose weight.

"These foods provide a lot of pleasure when eaten, something important for hunger prevention and weight loss success," she explains. So if satisfaction comes from fiber and protein, these low-calorie foods are the answer to shedding those extra pounds.
