On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of Independence, Newborn in Pristina changed its look again. The new concept was introduced by the author of the moment, Fisnik Ismaili.
?It has been 21 years that they are neglected, rejected by society, humiliated and humiliated, as long as the issue is theirs. It is considered as received. It is repeatedly ignored that 20,000 were raped during the war, while they have been able to resume their normal lives, with the utmost contempt we have been given, and that our needles are not sufficiently named [sic], Ismaili writes on Facebook.
As his inscription notes, Newborn's new design is dedicated to victims of sexual abuse during conflicts around the world.
"Endless wars bring oppression, rape and contempt," reads a section of the monument.
The Kosovo Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Victims, Medica Kosova, the Center for the Promotion of Women's Rights, Justice for All, and in particular Vasfije Krasniqi Goodman, contributed to the realization of the new design, the first woman to speak openly about her experience as a victim of war crimes in Kosovo, who testified before the US Congress.
