Sometimes we want to do everything but sit down and learn. The pandemic and all the problems that have come with it, has also affected the way we (do not) focus. You may find yourself thinking "will I understand them?", "Why go on when I know I will not reach them?", Etc. etc. Next time, whenever you feel like you're not in the mood to study, remind yourself of a few simple things.
# 1 - Accept your resistance and difficult feelings
It may be helpful to write down feelings and thoughts here and then set them aside. So you move them all to another place away from your head / mind so that you can study.
# 2 - Do not shy away
Avoiding the jobs and tasks you have is the worst thing you can do. You will get tired and disappointed in yourself. You are stronger than that!
# 3 - Do not blame yourself if you ever procrastinate
If you have a habit of leaving things to the last minute, be aware that you have this habit and gradually try to improve it. Better to return to a task sooner or later than not return at all.
# 4 - Try to better understand your study style
What would make your job easier? Try to make your study experience as interesting as possible. Clean the workplace, use colors, create order, listen to light music without lyrics, etc.
# 5 - Do not doubt anything about your abilities
Do not lower yourself by comparing it to others. If you find yourself with these thoughts, be aware that you are having them and shift your mind to something else.
# 6 - Visualize yourself starting from work
Sit down and work even for 10 minutes. Visualize yourself by studying, then the benefits you will get from studying.
# 7 - Focus on the task at hand
Prioritize the most important tasks and avoid doing too many tasks at once or too quickly.
# 8 - Communicate any difficulties with others
This can help you get involved in the process and identify important tasks. Communication can help you commit to immediate goals and you can also find different views and advice from others.
# 9 - Takes time to schedule tasks
Ask yourself "How much can I get in the next 2 hours?" instead of "Can I do all the tasks?" - This way you are not overloaded so easily by the volume of study you have to do.
# 10 - Remember that studying can be challenging and take you out of your comfort zone and that's a good thing
Climbing a mountain is not easy, but the view from above and the feeling of fresh air are wonderful. Focus on the result, not the "fight" to get there, but if you can, try to enjoy the "fight" as well. After a few years, you will miss him!
