Iranian authorities have arrested the father of the 22-year-old girl, Mahsa Amini, who became a symbol of the ongoing and violent protests in Iran.
Amajd Amini, the father of the deceased girl, was arrested in his apartment yesterday and taken to the Ministry of Intelligence in Sagez, where he was questioned by the authorities. According to Radio Free Europe, the Amini family is not allowed to leave their home on the anniversary of their daughter's death.
It is learned that the house is surrounded by the security forces, who also blocked the road to avoid the protests of the citizens near the family's house. The Iranian authorities have tightened the measures, in order to reduce the impact of the mass protests that are expected to take place throughout the country.
In different areas of Tehran, the capital of Iran, large groups of people have started large protests, chanting slogans: "Woman, life, freedom" and "Death to the dictator". Despite the barbaric violence that continues to be present, imprisoning hundreds of Iranians, citizens continue to protest against extreme and dictatorial measures.

Rrahja e saj u fsheh nga autoritetet, të cilët pretenduan se ajo ndërroi jetë për shkak të sulmit në zemër dhe ky mashtrim nxiti zemërimin dhe reagimin publik.
Ajo u dërgua në një “qendër riedukimi” dhe tre ditë më vonë vdiq në spital. Qeveria ka argumentuar se Amini vdiq nga një "sulm i papritur në zemër", por familja e saj tha se ajo nuk kishte asnjë sëmundje dhe beson se ajo u vra. The numerous and massive protests also led to the imprisonment and execution of many Iranian citizens, and according to human rights groups, up to 500 people have been killed during these protests and many others have been jailed or sentenced to long-term prison terms.
