Chris Brown was arrested this morning in Manchester, England, after allegedly hitting music producer Abe Diaw over the head with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub in 2023.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the singer, 36, was detained at a luxury hotel on suspicion of "causing grievous bodily harm".
"He is in custody and remains in custody," police told The Sun.
The event is related to an incident that occurred on February 19, 2023, at a nightclub in the Hanover Square area of ??London.
In October 2023, producer Abe Diaw sued Brown for physical assault. According to the lawsuit, the singer hit him in the head with a tequila bottle and then kicked and brutally punched him in the neck, knocking him unconscious for about 30 seconds.
The producer claims that the attack left him with a fractured skull and torn ligaments in his leg, ending up in the hospital.
He also accuses Brown of defamation and spreading false rumors, including accusations that he was a thief – which, according to the lawsuit, severely damaged his reputation and professional relationships.
Chris Brown has not yet publicly reacted to the incident.
