Thank us later! Here are some ways to find the perfect name for your baby.

Today, there are millions of names, but how do you find the right one for your child, your nephew, niece, your friend's child, etc.?

1. Search the family tree

If you want to give your baby a name with history or a deep meaning, there's no better way than to do some research on your family tree. Of course, you know the names of your grandparents, but you're likely to find what you're looking for in the name of someone who lived a century ago. Old names are always cool for the history they carry.

2. Check around

If you want your child to have a name that is trendy, just go to the internet to see what the most popular names are in the world or Albania (click on the official INSTAT website).

3. Be careful with the names of famous people

Characters from television, books, and movies can be a good source of inspiration. Before Game of Thrones, the name Arya wasn't very common, but today it's the opposite. That doesn't mean you should pin your hopes on characters from TV or books, but don't limit yourself — inspiration can come from many different sources.

4. Ask

If you're unsure, ask your family or friends on social media. Organize a party where you share your thoughts on names, among other things. On the other hand, you can keep the baby's name a secret until the end of the pregnancy if you want to avoid any negative comments. People sometimes overdo it!

5. Read books

Some parents buy books with baby names. Just read them to see which name will make your heart beat faster.

6. Make sure it is easily pronounceable

We all know someone whose name is hard to pronounce. While it may be a cool and unique name, make sure your child doesn't have to face the question, "Excuse me again, what was your name?" for the rest of their lives.

7. Say it out loud

It always works! One day, your little angel will annoy you and we all know you'll have to raise your voice. So make sure the name is heard clearly.

8. Think about pet names/shortened versions

If you love a name but can't stand its shortened version, it's time to think of something else. Keep in mind that children also make fun of each other, so make sure your baby doesn't have a name that sounds similar to an offensive word.

9. "Ask" the stars

For those obsessed with astrology, this could be the right choice. Read information about star names based on the child's horoscope sign.

10. Just wait.

If all of the above doesn't work, wait. The moment your little one is in your arms, you'll know what the right name is.
