Necessary introduction!

What you will read below claims to be the "unwritten rules of Tirana", but first let's clarify two concepts to Ronaldo Sharka - who listed them on Top Albania Radio:

1. An unwritten rule is a behavior that occurs repeatedly and massively, a common custom that is followed by the majority, even though it is not a law. For example: an unwritten rule is that we do not flirt with our friend's boyfriend.

2. A stereotype is simply a mistaken opinion, often prejudiced, that is confused with reality, but has no connection to it. For example: blondes are stupid.

Now we continue with the "unwritten rules of Tirana".

1. "Taking up a parking space with cans or chairs is Super Saiyan level."

Super Saiyan? That's actually Super Stresian. Right, it's absurd, but when the City Hall has no idea what it's doing with urban planning, people get creative with whatever they can: cans, chairs, flower pots, you name it.

2. "Seeing an empty parking space, but with bins and chairs, it is not touched. On the contrary, when someone dares, the family book is opened."

WOW, what a revelation! Do Balkans have nerves? This is not a rule, it's "testosterone + lack of parking = civil war at the palace".

3. “In Astir, villagers live. So, there is an urban legend that only newcomers live in Astir, without wanting to offend anyone, but how else can I say 'villagers'? Provincials? So, like me, a villager who came from Lushnja.”

And in every other neighborhood in the world, people live . The fact that Ronaldo says it in a self-ironic tone doesn't make him any less prejudiced. Tirana is full of people from every corner and Astiri is not some cave with an SOS signal.

4. “If you are in Kamëz, an alarm system in our body for self-defense is suddenly activated.”

Squid Game: Kamëz Edition. Every city has areas that are stigmatized, but maybe the alarm is not set off by the fact that you are in Kamëz, but by the fear in your head.

5. “If you're young and you travel by train, you're a boarder.”

Do you understand, people? Young people who don't have a Range Rover are immediately "boarders." Or in other words: student = poor = by bus = boarder.

6. "If you are a boarder, you are suspected of being unwashed."

This is so banal that it shouldn't even be on a TikTok post, let alone on national radio.

7. “Northerners are more respected than southerners. Yes, yes. Silently we all know that whether it's a northerner or a southerner, the one who gets more respect is the northerner. Especially if the northerner has an expensive car and is driving in traffic, no one will flash their lights or honk their horn to make way for them.”

Ky nuk është rregull, është kompleks. Njerëzit respektojnë makinën, jo veriun. Një verior me Golf 4 nuk merr më shumë respekt se një jugor me BMW X6.

8. “Komuna e Parisit nuk ka asnjë lidhje me Parisin, pavarësisht emrit që mban.”

Edhe “Myslym Shyri” nuk ka lidhje me modën. As “Rruga e Barrikadave” s’ka barrikada. Bulevardi “Dëshmorët e Kombit” nuk është “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”.

9. “90% e njerëzve që jetojnë në Tiranë nuk dinë si e ka emrin rruga e Salës në të vërtetë.”

Po, sepse njerëzit nuk orientohen me emra rrugësh, përgjithësisht, por me “jam afër Bllokut, ngjitur me një furrë buke, mbrapa asaj kioskës që shet cigare.”

10. “Nëse makina jote është e ndaluar dhe e fikur në Dajt, automatikisht dyshohet se po bën seks.”

Njerëzit ndalojnë për peizazhin, për të marrë ajër, sepse u prish goma. Sidoqoftë, nëse makina lëkundet…

11. “Vizat e bardha janë vetëm për zbukurim.”

Ore, jemi në 2025-n, jo në kohën e Farmville në Facebook. Shumica e shoferëve i respektojnë. Ata që s’e bëjnë janë thjesht palaço, jo përfaqësues të Tiranës.

12. “Ulja në kafe është një rit i shenjtë.”

Amen për këtë!

13. “Ne jemi ndër të paktat qytete në botë me një rregull të pashkruar që psikologia apo psikologu ka më pak rëndësi se shoqja e ngushtë, sepse të gjitha hallet tregohen aty [te shoqja e ngushtë].”

Ndoshta sepse psikologia kushton 50 euro/orë, ndërsa shoqja e ngushtë është një kafe larg? Mos harroni edhe që te psikologia nuk shkohet vetëm kur ke halle.

14. “Parkimi futet te sportet ekstreme.”

Hera e katërt që flasim për parkimin…

15. “Sheshi Skënderbej është qendra e të gjithë botës. Aty takohen të gjithë njerëzit si pikë orientimi.”

Po pra, si çdo shesh qendror në çdo qytet. Parisi ka “Place de la Concorde”, Roma ka “Piazza Venezia”, Athina ka “Omonia Square” etj.

16. “Fjala ‘Po vij’ do të thotë çdo gjë tjetër përveç fjalës ‘Po vij’.”

Po ç'hyn Tirana këtu? Kjo ka lidhje me karakterin e invididit që vonohet (“Po vij” është fjali, jo fjalë).

17. “Rruga mund të jetë edhe trotuar, edhe parking edhe pikë shitjeje lulesh. Ku ka vend, ka funksion.”

E drejtë, rrugët në Tiranë janë si CV e njerëzve që dalin nëpër emisione televizive: gjithçka dhe asgjë njëkohësisht.

18. “Askush nuk e di që ‘më plasi…’ apo ‘s’më plasi…’ ka të njëjtin kuptim.’

Nuk e dimë në cilën Tiranë jeton Ronaldo, por në Tiranën tonë, të gjithë e dimë që kanë të njëjtin kuptim.

19. “Të hapësh sinjalin në Tiranë nëse do kthehesh majtas apo djathtas, je thjesht budalla.”

Nëse disa s’e përdorin sinjalin, kjo nuk e bën “rregull”.

20. “Më lehtë presim të ziejë grosha e plakës që do 2 orë në tenxhere jo me presion, sesa të hapet semafori. Kjo ndodh vetëm në Tiranë.”

E njëjta situatë ndodh ekzaktësisht në çdo qytet të Shqipërisë dhe jo vetëm. Dhe mos harroni, siç thotë Vagabondi: Sado që je gangster, mos u bëj gangster me mamin. Ëëë, me mamin, jo plakën!

21. “Të jesh lypës në Tiranë, fiton më shumë se të marrësh një rrogë normale.”

We don't have statistics for this unwritten rule that Ronaldo mentions, but there are statistics on the exploitation of minors, poverty, and the lack of institutions that care for people in need.

So, these weren't the “unwritten rules of Tirana.” They weren't “Tyrone jokes,” either. They were simply stereotypes packaged as unwritten urban rules.

If we want to make humor, we have to understand that humor is also a responsibility. Especially when you have a microphone that can be heard all over the country.

So next time, before you read these "funny jokes" on the radio, you need one more thought filter, not one more prejudice. Tirana may have many unwritten rules, but national television has no place for ugly stereotypes.
