Kanye West's album was unexpectedly removed from digital music platforms this week.
On Wednesday, Kanye released the album “Donda 2” for the first time , which was initially released exclusively on his personal platform, “ Stem Player ”, in 2022. After more than two years, the album finally became available on digital platforms like Spotify, Tidal and YouTube Music.
However, the publication did not last long.
Just a few hours later, the album was removed from the platforms, due to a legal dispute.

Kanye shared on X a conversation with DeAndre “Free” Maiden, the manager of producers Jahmal “Boogz Da Beast” Gwin and Brian “AllDay” Miller. The message demanded that the album be taken down, claiming that Kanye had not paid them for work done on several songs.
"We have not and do not consent to our work being used in Donda 2 or any other Kanye project. He has owed us money for almost 3 years, has refused to pay, but continues to steal our work," the message said.
"Lawyers will remove this album within the hour," the message continued.
Kanye did not take this situation well.
"Free Maiden is trying to ask me for $3 million for these beats that I taught them how to make," he wrote in the post's description.
It remains to be seen whether the parties will reach an agreement for the album's return.
