According to recent research , healthcare professions are considered the most desirable field for those looking for a partner – combining intelligence and humanity.

The survey of 1,000 single men and 1,000 single women aimed to find out which careers are considered attractive to partners and which are most suitable for creating a love relationship.

Both men and women agreed that healthcare workers are the best partners (29%) and, when broken down by specific profession, 26% of respondents said doctors are the most attractive, while nurses ranked third (22%).

While a career in education ranked second most attractive overall (23%), men were more likely to want a female teacher as a partner, while women were less likely to want male teachers (28% vs. 19%).

On the other hand, 18% of women are looking for a partner with a job in finance, but this category is below businessmen and on the same level as women looking for an artist (18%).

Lawyers (24%), scientists (16%), pharmacists (15%), and technology professionals (14%) also rank among the top jobs considered most attractive by both genders.

This career focus isn't just about money:

Respondents want their potential partners to be passionate about what they do (40%) and prioritize work-life balance (34%).

Respondents also look for partners who understand that there is always more to learn and ways to improve (28%), have the ability to work well with others and build relationships with colleagues (25%), and want to leave a positive impact on society (21%).

On the other hand, working too many overtime hours (29%) and changing jobs frequently (25%) are some of the main "red flags" for a relationship.
