Today in "Information that won't be useful to us, but why wouldn't we know it" we will talk about some famous people whose real surnames are not as we know them.
Ramosaj is not Alban and Beatrix's real surname
We know them as Beatrix and Alban Ramosaj, although their real surname is Kamerolli. “We have legally kept the surname Kamerolli in every document, but as a stage name we decided to keep Ramosaj,” Beatrix told Tiranapost.al in 2019. Kamerolli is their father's surname, which they legally keep, while Ramosaj is their mother's surname.
Jonida who?
As can be seen from this passport photo, the singer's real last name is Maliqaj, not Maliqi.
Çfarë?
Invited to "Xing with Ermalin" in 2017, Aurela confirmed that in the documents, her last name is Gaçaj.
Gift, but not Hand
If you thought Dhurata's last name was Dora, you're wrong. Her name is Dhurata Murturi. On Snapchat, years ago, Dhurata explained that when she lived in Germany, the Germans couldn't pronounce her name with the letter "Dh", so they called her Dorata. Dora is the abbreviation of the name Dorata. That's how Dhurata Dora was "born".
Aulona Musta, right?!
Throughout her career – from "Kafazi i artë", to Gazeta Paloma, as a moderator of "Thumb", as a journalist, influencer and most recently an entrepreneur – we have known Aulona by the surname Musta. But legally, Aulona bears her husband's surname and we introduce you to Aulona Papavangjeli.
Xhensila, but not Myrtezaj...nor Kallaku
We have known her for years as Xhensila Myrtezaj, although after marriage, Xhensila kept her ex-husband's surname and was Xhensila Kallaku. But let us surprise you again. Before marriage, Xhensila's legal surname was Laskaj. Apparently, the singer has chosen to be known artistically by her mother's surname. After the dissolution of the marriage, she will again be, at least legally, Xhensila Laskaj.
Rita Sahatçiu, not Ora
Rita Ora changed her last name – from Sahatçiu to Ora – for a simple reason: foreigners couldn't pronounce it.
