Nina Dobrev was almost the victim of another freak accident until her "The Vampire Diaries" co-stars stepped in and saved the day just like old times.
During Epic Con's I Was Feeling convention in Georgia over the weekend, Nina was almost hit by the metal stage behind her while speaking on stage with her former co-stars. Just before the sign behind her began to fall, actresses Candice King and Kat Graham stepped in and heroically stopped the object from hitting Nina's head.
The pair realized that Nina was in danger after a person from the audience shouted: "Watch out!". Thanks to the couple's quick reflexes, within seconds they realized what was happening and prevented the sign from falling.

The timing of it all was ironic as insiders claimed the former 'Vampire Diaries' trio were discussing their previous injuries on set shortly before the incident.
On X, one fan wrote: "Decades later and they're still defending Elena." Another added: "Elena being rescued by Caroline and Bonnie... just like old times." And someone else said, "I watched this video over and over this morning! Quick reflexes and they haven't aged a day since 'TVD'?!" And a fourth person joked: "She used her vampire speed."
This comes after Nina was previously the victim of a motorcycle accident that landed her in the hospital earlier this year. In May 2024, the 35-year-old actress suffered serious injuries from a sudden bicycle crash, during which she broke her kneecap.
