Paulo Di'Anno, the former lead singer of Iron Maiden, has died

Paul Di'Anno, the former singer of the band Iron Maiden, has passed away at the age of 66.

The artist's real name is Paul Andrews and he was part of the band's first two albums, "Iron Maiden" and "Killers", which made them an essential part of the new wave of the British heavy metal music genre.

Di'Anno left the band in 1981 to be replaced by singer Bruce Dickinson.

After leaving Iron Maiden in 1981, Di'Anno embarked on a solo career and released several albums, maintaining a style similar to that of heavy metal. He has also toured with other bands and collaborated with various artists.

Di'Anno later admitted that he partied "non-stop, 24 hours a day" and that the impact of his lifestyle "wasn't fair to the band, the fans or himself".

Current band members paid tribute to the artist, saying they were "all deeply saddened" by his death.
