What are delta waves and why are they so important?

Delta waves are the slowest type of brain waves, which represent the electrical activity our brain produces during stages of deep sleep (slow wave sleep). They mainly occur during the stage of deep sleep, known as the N3 stage. This is the part of sleep where the brain stops processing daily information and goes into repair mode. In this phase, the body and mind are involved in deep regeneration, helping to regulate bodily functions and preserve long-term memory.

The role of delta waves in regeneration and emotional health

While the body regenerates during deep sleep, our brain uses delta waves to "cleanse" and strengthen neuronal connections. This directly affects the improvement of the emotional state.
