The Weeknd reveals the title and new details for his next album

The Weeknd has announced that his next album, the last in the trilogy that began with "After Hours" and continued with "Dawn FM," will be titled "Hurry Up Tomorrow." The announcement is accompanied by a series of statements, filled with references from his songs, while the background music includes dramatic sounds.

"This day has seemed to me like an endless cycle," the statement reads. “I keep twisting the truth, immune to vertigo, numb to nausea. What lies below - screams in silence. I look in the mirror and feel both old and new, stuck in oblivion and unable to move. I still haven't faced myself… What once made me invincible failed me on the world stage. A new trauma appeared. When this day is over, I will find out who I am," the video read, followed by, "HURRY UP TOMORROW."

The statement continues: "This album represents the creative culmination of the project, serving as the third and final chapter, built on existential and self-referential themes, as seen in recent teasers that have fueled fans' anticipation for this final chapter."

A release date has not yet been set for the album. On Saturday, The Weeknd will hold a special concert at Estádio Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil, which will be streamed live on YouTube.

Additionally, The Weeknd will donate 10% of net proceeds from event and online sales to the BrazilFoundation's Brazilian Soul Fund, which supports communities affected by natural disasters and economic hardship in southern Brazil.

The Weeknd kicked off this new chapter in July with a more than minute-long video posted to his Instagram that includes a series of dreamlike images from the past four years of his music career.

It featured sports cars, poker elements, the iconic red suit and glasses worn by The Weeknd in the music video for "Blinding Lights" and other music videos from his 2020 album After Hours. It then transitions to the image of the husband of seniors from "Dawn FM," and the hooded characters from his "After Hours Til the Dawn" tour.

Then, new elements are added: A character, possibly a mannequin, with a mask that looks a lot like his face (he wore many masks during the tour) and finally, a character that looks like him at a young age, surrounded by a crowd of white mannequins trying to touch him.
