"Eat the vegetables on your plate!" Surely for you this has been one of those expressions of persecution of your parents towards you, even growing up. Maybe they're not your favorites, or your work and lifestyle make it impossible to take them to the office or order them in restaurants while you're busy all the time.

The most important health organizations, including the American Heart Association, suggest that you consume up to two servings of vegetables per day. "Vegetables are a source of energy for health," says nutritionist Kalyn True. "They are full of nutrients like vitamins, minerals and fiber."

Combined with fruits or other foods, vegetables are very good for our body and organism. But what happens if you don't eat vegetables or skip the recommendations for the daily amount? Here are the five main effects!

#1 The amount of fiber in the body decreases

#2 The risk of disease increases

#3 You will probably have less energy

#4 You may be more thirsty

#5 Skin problems appear from acne to irritation

#6 You may gain weight
