A woman bought a glass vase for $3.99 at a thrift store and sold it at auction for $100,000.

Jessica Vincent bought the vase and thought it might have a little more value than ordinary products, she told the New York Times.

"I had a feeling it might be worth $1,000 or $2,000, but I had no idea how much it was really worth until I did a little more research," she said after spotting an 'M' small mark at the bottom of the vase, which led him to suspect that it might be Murano, an Italian island near Venice, famous for its glassworks.

Jessica researched further and several people on the internet pointed out that it resembled a work by the famous Italian architect Carlo Scarpa.

She consigned the vase to Wright Auction House, where it sold for $107,100. The vase was officially identified as part of the "Pennellate" series. of Scarpa's 1940s.

This is luck!
