You have either experienced anxiety or know someone who does. Anxiety is a normal response to stress and various situations we go through in our lives.
The World Health Organization recently said that anxiety disorders are the most common mental health disorders, affecting more than 301 million worldwide in 2019.
Everyone experiences stress at some point. Anxiety is different. Many individuals experience stress regularly, then it happens that they calm down and feel better. But, in other people, the anxiety becomes so great and uncontrollable that it begins to affect the quality of life.
But to be less affected by these situations, you can repeat these sentences to yourself:
#1 My brain is giving me the wrong signals. I am sure.
#2 I know how to handle this. I trust myself.
#3 This feeling won't last forever.
#4 I accept this feeling.
#5 Thanks for the warning, but I'm fine.
#6 I'm totally bad, but I'm dealing with this.
#7 I've felt this way before, and nothing bad happened.
#8 I have many options that I can use to calm down.
