Aitana, a 25-year-old pink-haired "woman" from Barcelona, ??receives private messages from celebrities asking her out and collaborates with various brands. But this model is not real, it was created using artificial intelligence.
Last summer, Rubén Cruz, her designer and founder of The Clueless agency, was having a hard time because he didn't have many clients. He noticed that many projects were on hold or canceled due to problems mainly related to influencers or models.
So they decided to create their own influencer to use for the brands they partnered with. They created Aitana, which can earn up to 10,000 euros per month; the average is around 3,000 euros.
She earns just over €1,000 per ad and has recently become the face of a sports supplement company, and if that wasn't enough, she posts lingerie photos on Fanvue, a platform similar to OnlyFans. Aitana counts more than 120 thousand followers on Instagram.
"One day, a famous Latin American actor messaged her to go out together. This actor has about 5 million followers and some of our team watched his TV series when they were kids," Cruz tells Euronews. "He had no idea Aitana didn't exist."
Each week, the agency team decides what they will do what during the week, which places they will visit and which photos will be uploaded for followers.
Their initiative has also been accompanied by criticism, mainly for the sexualization of such figures. "If we don't follow this aesthetic, brands won't be interested. To change this system, you have to change the vision of brands. The world in general is sexualized," Cruz said.
