After weeks in the spotlight, the Barbie doll's publicity is being rivaled by legendary rivals – the Bratz dolls in collaboration with Kylie Jenner.

The Bratz x Kylie Jenner Mini Collection marks the first time a celebrity has been transformed into a Bratz doll, which became popular in the 2000s for its style, exaggerated features and multiple skin tones.

The collection features Kylie Jenner dolled up in different looks, including the lavender feathered Versace gown she wore to the 2019 Met Gala and the Off-White veiled look she walked in at the Met Gala three years later.

"I have been a Bratz fan since childhood and have always loved my Bratz doll," Jenner said in a press release.

Bratz creative director Jasmin Larian said Jenner "really embodies everything that Bratz has been about since its inception 22 years ago" — being rebellious, energetic and expressive.

But not all Bratz fans were satisfied. Some commentators questioned the choice of Kylie as the doll brand's first celebrity collaborator. Others were skeptical about her skin tone. “Kylie is not that dark,” one person wrote on Twitter.
