Tom Holland has spoken about the moment he realized he was addicted to alcohol and the decision to give up this addiction.

"All I could think about was having a drink. I was just thinking about it," Holland said on Jay Shetty's "On Purpose" podcast.

Holland said he was scared by the fact that he was constantly checking the clock to see when it would be time to have a drink. He added that it was really challenging to quit this addiction and considering how difficult it was to quit drinking, he thought he had a drinking problem.

At this very moment, he decided not to consume alcohol for 6 months, until June 1, when he also had his birthday.

The British actor also showed the advantages of quitting alcohol. "I could sleep better, I could cope with problems. I had mental clarity and felt healthier," Tom said, among other things.

He emphasized that he had tried several times to take this step, but he always returned to his old vice. But this time he decided to be different.

"I worked hard to change my mindset. I asked myself: "Why do you drink?", said the actor, who has left his addiction behind and has been sober for 1 and a half years. He encouraged people to consume less alcohol, as this, according to him, is something very positive.
