Although the Dalai Lama is one of the most well-known promoters of Buddhism in the world, his life has been filled with controversy. In 2019, in an interview with "BBC", Dalai said that if there will be a female version, it should be more attractive. After the debate it caused, the office again reacted and said that the statement was said in a frank and not offensive way.
