Sam Smith made heads turn when he appeared on the Brit Awards red carpet in an eye-catching latex outfit.
The bodysuit, created by Harri - a London brand founded by designer Harikrishnan Keezhathil Surendran Pillai - featured puffy arms and legs and instantly became the most talked about look of the evening.
People thought the outfit was inspired by UFOs or was a homage to one of David Bowie's most memorable outfits, the striped suit created by designer Kansai Yamamoto. But none of them.
Smith's dress designer told WWD that the look was meant to celebrate the natural shape and "the beauty of being yourself."
"Sam got a lot of hate comments recently after 'Unholy' about body image," said Harry. "I wanted to create an image that people had never seen Sam in."
Clearly. We understood.
