Drake and 21 Savage are being sued by Vogue

Rappers Drake and 21 Savage are being sued by Condé Nast, the publisher of Vogue magazine, for allegedly using Vogue's name without permission to promote their new album, Her Loss.

Condé Nast claims that the album's promotional campaign was built "entirely" on the unauthorized use of Vogue's trademarks and fake news claims that they would appear on the next Vogue cover, for which they also credited the magazine's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.

"All this is not true. And none of them were authorized by Conde Nast,” the complaint filed in a Manhattan court said.

Condé Nast said they also created a fake magazine which was distributed in major metropolitan areas, accompanied by posters imitating Vogue covers. The company stated that as a result of this action, there was confusion among the public, including in the media that advertised Drake and 21 Savage as Vogue's "new cover stars".

Condé Nast is seeking $4 million in damages, or three times the profits from their album.
