Weekends are never long enough. It doesn't matter if you take the last 2 days of the week off, have a long weekend - free time goes by much faster than the days of the week.
Unfortunately, there's no magic way to extend your vacation days, but there are a few ways to make your weekends feel longer, more fulfilling, and more relaxing. Why not practice them?
1. Make a plan for how you will spend your time
Organize in your mind some activities that you want to do during the weekend. Do things that you enjoy so that on Sunday at dinner you won't be disappointed about the vacation you had. It might be a simple bike ride, but at least you'll count it as a valuable hour on your vacation.
2. Forget your phone and find a hobby
Deal with it every day with social networks, phone, messages. Forget them and you'll see how long and fulfilling your weekend will be. Find a hobby and practice it. You can also edit the photos on Monday.
3. Do things that are not similar to the activities you do during the week
Get involved in different activities. Do things you don't do during the week. You can try learning the piano, a dance course, etc.
4. Don't get busy
Leave it during the week. This is how you create a distance between your professional and private life. It is very important to spend weekends with your family and closest people. Don't fill yourself with stressful energy and don't accept work notifications or messages.
5. Find a balance between going out and relaxing
If you go out on Saturday night and Sunday too, Monday will seem like a nightmare and you will feel more tired than before. On the other hand, even lying around all weekend isn't going to help much, so plan ahead. Relax, get enough sleep and enjoy life outside! Live in the moment and the weekends can seem like an eternity.
