'I met my husband there: These success stories will get you using Tinder

In a study by Liesel Sharabi, a psychologist, about dating in the digital age, it turned out that apps like Tinder can really succeed.

"Believe it or not, I met my husband there," said one of the study participants.

She wasn't the first person to say she found love on a dating app .

A 2013 study shows that one-third of marriages in the US start online.

Liesel talks more about her current study:

"For a future study, I interviewed people from all over the US about their long-term relationships through online dating. 72% of them were women with an average age of 33.42 years.

The people I talked to were married or engaged to someone they met through Tinder, OkCupid, eHarmony, Plenty of Fish, Match, Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, Jdate, or Shaadi. On average, their relationships were 4.18 years long and currently ongoing."

Many of the people who were part of the study were already engaged, married.

Online dating certainly has its challenges, but maybe it's not as "bad" as we've made it out to be.

In February 2021, Anabel asked followers on Instagram about their dating experiences on Tinder, and while there were (of course) bad experiences, many were positive and had resulted in long-term relationships. You can read the article here .
